(ob)Session

"Obsession is a young man's game" -John Cutter in Prestige.

I just remember this dialogue sometimes. Tell me where do you find obsession?
For the fat guy, hunger is an obsession.
For a drunkard, drinking is an obsession.
What do we call someone having obsession of power? Politician? Well mostly.
What do you think, is obsession a good thing for any individual??
Ohh..leave it. I can sense this is becoming a monologue questionnaire!!
I think it is good in some way. With today's outburst of technology, if you want to do something, you must do it at earliest because before you decide completely in your mind, something new..something better will come up. With all the options available in your hand, there are so many things which we can do still we keep on missing them. Let me tell you one example, I had a dream of an adventure trip to Ladakh. Going there and exploring all the natural miracles. If I won't get obsessed with this idea, I will not find the perfect time to do it. In this way, obsession is loosely coupled to Spontaneity. Get obsessed with ideas and start implementing them spontaneously. You wanted to learn a game since your schooldays and still you haven't played it. GET Obesed. Huh? Oh! that's spelling mistake. Get Obsessed.

Why there is general presumption about obsession being bad? When people get obsessed with people or habits, things start turning out dirty. The fine line of spontaneity gets darkened by whim. If you tie your madness to ideas, concepts, dreams, they are the good obsessions. So what are you obsessed about? Reading crap blog posts??
